Terminology

This is an A-Z dictionary of names and terms I am using in the fiction. You should pronounce the name as they are written. If you know Latin, Japanese, or other phonetic languages, it would help tremendously. If not, then just pronounce them as you please. :-)

A	Adrian	Ignis' second name, given to him by his mother; he now uses it as an alias
	angel	creature that serves the goddess Seleh
	Angelia	the country on the territory the Western Plains (see map), inhabited by the followers of the legendary Prince Angelius; its people have fair features and white wings; main income comes from agriculture
	Angelian	inhabitant of Angelia
	Angelius	King Athen's oldest son; he blamed his brother Demonus for their father's death and the conflict led to the division of the country in two fractions
	Angus, Lord	member of the War Council of Angelia
	Athen, King	the legendary Warrior King that had once ruled both countries; his murder brought about the feud between his son and the division of the country
	Aquiline	the capital city of Demonis, from where the House of Sagni-Dor rules; one of the main economic and religious centres of the land
B	Black Mountains	mountainous range in Demonis; it acts as a natural barrier in front of any possible invaders; they contain important goods such as metal and rare wood, whose exploitation has lead to the development of trade in Demonis
C	Ceni Mah-Kel	Marzio's friend and lieutenant
	Chosen, the	Demon children born with fair skin and reddish hair; they are said to be protected by Drako and treated with great respect
D	daimon	minion of the god Drako
	Demon	inhabitant of Demonis
	Demonis	the country on the territory the North-Eastern Plateau (see map), inhabited by the followers of the legendary Prince Demonus; its people have dark features and white wings; main income comes from trade
	Demonus	King Athen's youngest son; he was blamed for his father's death but managed to fled from his brother Angelius' clutches and took refuge further East; there he formed a new country
	Desert Lands	the desert that separates the Eastern Lands from the rest of the continent (see map)
	Drako	main deity of Demonis; the God of War and Rebirth, protector of the Royal Family of Demonis
	Dreak	the descendants of Prince Demonus' guards; an elite warrior caste that acts as keepers of the peace and defenders of the Prince
E	Eastern Lands, The	the Eastern part of a greater continent, on which Angelia, Demonis and Terlandia are situated
	Elssi, Lord	member of the War Council of Angelia
F	First Dynasty, the	see Sagni-Dor
G	Gettik, Lord	member of the War Council of Angelia; King Teh-Kai's Steward
H
I	Ignis Sagni-Dor	the current Prince of Demonis and main character of this story
	Iphgis	one of the three cities of the Mauri Confederation (see map)
J
K	Kelan Loreh-Ven, Lord	King Teh-Kai's chief advisor and the leader of the War Council of Angelia; for some reason he is set against Marzio
	Khes	minor divinity in both Angelia & Demonis
	khest	means 'damn' (or any other mild swear word you can think of)
L	Lavian Drak-Mer, lord	High Priest of Drako, important figure in Demonis; he is also Ignis' main challenger
	Laws of Drako, The	the set of rules by whom the Dreak guide themselves
	Luminate, the	person who receives the guidance of the Sorceress
M	Mauri	river separating Angelian and Demonis, a natural border between the two conflicting lands
	Mauri Confederation, the	a trade federation created 300 years ago and acting as a neutral zone between Angelia and Demonis
	Marzio Zain-Reil	current High Commander of the Army of Angelia and the other main character of the story
	Meralda	the Angelian County led by Marzio's uncle, which Marzio is supposed to inherit after the former dies (see map)
	Meris	honorary title given to all Dreak warriors
	Mnemon	capital city of Angelia, from where the House of Teh-Kai rules; main economic centre of the kingdom
	Monastery (of Dreak), the	the training centre of the Dreak; hidden deep in the core of the Black Mountains, it is the place where future Dreak are shaped
N	North-Eastern Plateau, the	the territory occupied by Demonis (see map)
O	Owen Alisi-Feit	captain of the Prince of Demonis' Personal Guard and Ignis' friend
P	Prophecy, the
	Pythia	the main city of Meralda
Q	Quiris	one of the three cities of the Mauri Confederation (see map)
R	Rasya Talien-Kay	Ignis' former lover; currently deceased
S	Sagni-Dor	the Ruling House of Demonis; also former Royal House of Angelia
	Sanctuary, the	main religious temple of Demonis
	Sanja Drak-Mer, Lady	Lord Lavian's niece
	Second Dynasty, the	see Teh-Kai
	Seleh	main deity of Angelia; the Goddess of Nature, protector of the family and Bringer of Life
	Selena Teh-Kai, Princess	King Teh-Kai's daughter, heir to the throne of Angelia
	Shirday Sea, the	the sea surrounding The Eastern Lands to the north, east and south
	Sorceress, the	mythological creature in Demonis; it is said to appear in dreams and offer guidance to the Luminate
T	Tanis Seer-Nis, Lord	former Angelian strategist, Ignis' teacher
	Teh-Kai	the Ruling House of Angelia
	Tempesta Neri-Lokh	Supreme Commander of Demon troops and Ignis' friend
	Terlandia	country in the south of the Eastern Lands (see map)
	Tulse	one of the three cities of the Mauri Confederation (see map)
